The first step to getting set up as a client for therapy would be contacting me via phone or email. Most people tell me a few things about themselves, like what brings them to therapy now, what their schedule looks like, and how they want to pay for sessions. Once we answer those questions and have decided that we’re a good fit for each other, I send some forms via email that can be signed through a secure electronic system. After that, we set up a time and date to meet, either online or in person.

Your first session we will cover topics such as your relationships now and in the past, family history, your physical and mental health, and go more in depth about the reasons you wanted to seek out therapy. We can talk about different therapeutic approaches that may work for you and the issues you are facing. After that, the second session we make therapy goals together on a document called a treatment plan, and this plan will guide the work we do moving forward.
